Adults and adolescents over 12 years: The recommended starting dose is 4 mg loperamide (two ENTERIUM capsules), followed by 2 mg loperamide (one ENTERIUM capsule) after each loose bowel movement. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 12 mg loperamide hydrochloride (six ENTERIUM capsules).
Acute diarrhoea associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome:
Adults who have been diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome): The recommended starting dose is 4 mg loperamide (two ENTERIUM capsules), followed by 2 mg loperamide (one ENTERIUM capsule) after each loose bowel movement or as advised by your doctor. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 12 mg loperamide hydrochloride (six ENTERIUM capsules).
